Quality Measures

Various methods were used to ensure the project was a success. The Translation People worked with the Concrete Canvas marketing team to produce bilingual glossaries of technical company-specific terminology, which was then approved by Concrete Canvas’s in-country reviewers prior to translation.

Technology

Website content was exported in HTML format, translated by native speaking specialist translators and then imported back into Concrete Canvas’s content management system after the coding was protected by a Localisation Specialist. The Translation People’s in-house desktop publishing team produced fully-formatted translated PDFs of the downloadable documents for customers, perfectly mirroring the English versions in their appearance.

The Result

Concrete Canvas’ aim was to make their website more accessible to potential customers, clients and partners around the world. Just over 1 month since their launch, the 4 different localised homepages are amongst the most visited pages across the entire site. The project is proving to have been worth the investment and the translations have already been of great assistance to the company’s Business Development Managers in communicating with their biggest target markets.
