Client Focus: Award-winning Bromford Housing

Roevin is very proud to provide translation services to Bromford Housing, which won a national award earlier this year, receiving the ‘One-Star – First Class’ Best Companies Accreditation – only given to organisations who can demonstrate high levels of colleague engagement as an integral component of their success and growth. In the past they have been rated 5th best company in the UK by the Sunday Times, featured in The Guardian’s list of top British Employers and won the Unisys/Management Today Service Excellence Awards for two successive years.

Bromford Housing Group provide affordable housing and associated support services to customers throughout Central England. Bromford Group is a market leader in supported housing, helping young people, the elderly and those with mental health needs, learning disabilities and acquired brain injuries to live independently. Founded over 40 years ago, the organisation has grown significantly. With their development partners, they have achieved more Housing Corporation funding than any other partnership in the Midlands and have one of the country’s largest housing development programmes. Allocations announced for 2006-2008 give The Bromford Partnership more new homes for the amount of funding than any other partnership outside London.

Melanie Reid, Customer Communications Manager, commented on why working closely with Roevin helps their communication strategy: “We send the raw texts of our letters, newsletters and other customer communications to Roevin and we know that the transcribed documents will be returned to us within the promised time and at a very high quality standard. This doesn’t only give us peace of mind, it also saves us a lot of money and time, and most of all it provides a highly important service to our non English speaking customers. Our customers feel that we’re meeting their communication needs, they have access to all the information they need and we are delighted to be able to engage with our customers and ensure we continue to deliver exceptional customer service.”

Roevin works closely with the organisation translating their legal and tenant documents into a number of minority languages including Punjabi and Farsi. To ensure all of their literature supports the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA), Bromford actively seeks to offer as many alternative formats as possible in order to reach their entire diverse customer base.
