Overseas success fuels growth for Manchester translation firm

Manchester headquartered translation firm, The Translation People, has made a strong start to the year, with a 75 percent turnover increase in the first quarter and the launch of a new office in Germany.

During 2010, the company, which is one of the UK’s leading translation service providers, achieved 44 per cent growth in export sales. The move to expand into Bonn, in Germany follows the successful opening of a new office in Paris last year.

Steve Wilde, Managing Director of The Translation People comments: “It’s been a strong start to the year both domestically and overseas, with our projected annual turnover now in excess of £3 million.”

“Following our successful launch in Paris the new German office will further increase our presence in Europe. We’re targeting the American market too – and have recently won two major US contracts.

The Translation People recently extended its range of translation services to include telephone interpreting, and has also been awarded the international ISO 9001 quality management standard.

Mr Wilde adds: “Our success is built on the quality of the service we provide. We now have clients in 32 countries across the globe – all need a specialist service they can rely on.”

The Translation People relocated its head office from Didsbury to larger premises in Cheadle Hulme last summer; the company also has offices in Heathrow, Birmingham, Glasgow, Paris and Germany.
